After being swamped with work and being unwell for a while, I am back to doing what I love to do most- writing about my adventures about food and sharing it with you.
Few days back, I happened to visit the Rose Cafe in Saket for a friend’s birthday lunch and it was love at first sight. Imagine a place that transfers you immediately to an English countryside the moment you step in and of course gives you a royal treatment. The floral decor, antiques and a bird cage, along with a warm ambiance won my heart and I knew I was in for a royal treat.
Rose Cafe has a crisp menu with the essentials of a perfect meal. From starters to desserts and English tea to mocktails, there is something for everyone.
We started off with Spaghetti with Meatballs and boy, it was a great choice. The dish was cooked well and had the right amount of spiciness. The flavours of the tomato sauce had made the meatballs juicy and delicious. According to me, the first rule of enjoying spaghetti is – go messy and I made sure that I followed the rules. Do give this one a try when you visit the cafe.
The Rose Cafe Club Sandwich was a well prepared dish. The bread was fresh and had a stuffing of grilled chicken, lettuce, bacon, egg and tomatoes. The stuffing went well and it was quite filling. If you are looking for a quick bite to grab which is filling and equally delicious, do give the Club Sandwich a try. You will not be disappointed.
Next came in the Penne in Pink Sauce with Chicken. This one was a clear winner. Spicy, creamy and some interesting flavours. The pasta was soft and the sauce had a great texture which made the dish a wonderful treat. It was served with garlic bread which made it a great accompaniment.
We ended our meal with Espresso Cake with Whipped Cream and it turned out to be a highlight of the meal. The cake was soft and slightly bitter which went well with the cream. Rose Cafe certainly makes desserts the royal way.
Rose Cafe is the place to visit and you are bound to have a great time. They also have seating outside making it a great place to eat, relax and maybe read a book while sipping some English tea. My vote of confidence goes to this wonderful restaurant. Do try it out 🙂
